Analytics and Re-marketing
To enhance your experience across the Aegis Legal website, please note that we use ‘Google Analytics’ and ‘Google Remarketing List for Search’ to store information about how visitors use our website so that we may make improvements to the customer journey and give visitors a better user experience.
Google Analytics is a third-party information storage system that records information about the pages you visit, the length of time you were on specific pages and the website in general, how you arrived at the site and what you clicked on when you were there. Internet Based Advertising
We use Facebook, ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter and Google Adwords advertising services and as such there are tracking codes installed on our website so that we can manage the effectiveness of these campaigns. We do not store any personal data within this type of tracking.
IP addresses
An IP or Internet Protocol Address is a unique numerical address assigned to a computer as it logs on to the internet. Aegis Legal do not have access to any personal identifiable information and we would never seek this information.
When you visit our website, we store web server logs which show your IP address, this gives us information such as which pages you looked at, whether the page request was successful or not and which browser you use to view the page. The use of this data is purely for statistical purposes or to perform any legal access request that we receive.

We will keep your personal data while we are providing legal services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to:

As a general rule, if we are no longer providing services to you, we will delete or anonymise your account data after seven years. E-signatures
In certain circumstances, Aegis Legal will process your personal data to allow you to sign documents electronically through the use of e-signature software such as InCase or DocuSign.
The categories of personal data that we may process for facilitating the use of e-signature software might include:
(a) Your name, e-mail address, postal address, and phone number.
(b) Your job title and place of work.
(c) Your signature.
(d) Your IP address.
We process this personal data pursuant to our legitimate interests i.e. to facilitate the use of e-signature software in the course of a matter or transaction to ensure the efficient completion of the matter or transaction. If you do not provide this personal data then we not be able to offer you the use of e-signature software.

Aegis Legal Mobile Application
The Aegis Legal Mobile Application (the “InCase” app) has been fully integrated into our personal injury case management system. If you are a personal injury client, it allows us to seamlessly deliver updates and information to you to help simply the running of your claim.
The categories of personal data that we may process for facilitating the use of the InCase app might include all those in the table above. The way we use this personal data and our reasons are set out in the table above.

Right to Be Informed – This Privacy Policy, together with our Cookies Policy, fulfills our obligation to tell you about the ways in which we use your information as a result of you using this website.
